The Real Sinner's Prayer

I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, Father of Glory, will forgive me for my idolatry. Suppressing the truth by my pleasure in unrighteousness. Forgive me for invoking your wrath, God, for even though I knew You I did not glorify You as God. Nor was I thankful. Forgive me for my harlotry against You for I am without excuse. Forgive my actions. Professing to be wise, I became a fool.  Creating other gods to worship.

Forgive me for changing the glory of the Incorruptible God into images. Forgive me, Lord, for my divination. Forgive me for exchanging the Truth for the lie. Forgive me for worshiping and serving the creature rather than You, the Creator. I forgive you for cursing me with vile passions.

Forgive me for all my acts of vile passion, homosexuality. Therefore, forgive me for seeking more and more rebellion. Forgive me for my justifications. Forgive me, God, for not retaining You in my knowledge. I forgive you, God, for cursing me with a debased mind. Therefore I ask you to forgive me for all my unrighteous acts.

Forgive me for my sexual immorality. Forgive me for my wickedness. Forgive me for my covetousness and maliciousness. Forgive me, Father, for my whispering and backbiting. Forgive me for hating you, Lord. Forgive me for my violence, proudness, boasting and inventing evil things. Forgive me for my undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving and unmerciful actions. Forgive me for having a form of godliness and denying the power of Your Spirit.

Forgive me, Father. I know such things are worthy of death not only doing the same but also approving those who practice them.

These are my own actions, sins that bring death. Lord, open my eyes. Give to me the spirit of wisdom and revelation and the knowledge of You, Lord. Accept me into Your Family, Lord. Show me the riches of Your glory. I ask this all in Christ Jesus name, Amen.
